The beach working group was set up on 2022 to link up with local stakeholder groups and to steer initiatives relating to beach safety and water quality, this group reports back to Gurnard parish council and makes recommendations to them for consideration.
It should be noted that water safety and signage on the foreshore is the responsibility of the Isle of Wight Council and not Gurnard Parish council.
